• Informed Choice: Making informed choices is vital to having parents feel like an integrated, valued part of their own birth. It can inoculate them against trauma, even when births don't always go as planned. This handout explains the steps of an informed choice decision, utilizing the BRAIN acronym, and models sample questions for their provider.

• Magical Hour: The "Magical Hour After Birth" includes several ways that babies come into their surroundings. This handout explains these steps and what parents can do to preserve baby's process.

• Precipitous (Fast) Birth: Lots of people fear a precipitous (fast) birth where they are on their own. This handout outlines what to do (and what not to do) if this happens.

• The Big Stretch (Protecting the Perineum): This handout was written by Lynn Leech, a pelvic floor PT and creator of National Institute for Birth Healing. It outlines perineal massage and how to best do it to prepare your body for birth.

• Pushing and Birth: This handout contains 11 illustrations of positions that you can be in while pushing and birthing your baby. An excellent thing to print out for each L&D room!

• VBAC: Preparing for a VBAC can be no small task! This handout covers finding a provider, finding support, moving through labor, and processing your journey (however it may be).
