Kisha Semenuk
NURSE ADVOCATE, QUALITY HEALTH
Kisha is a Perinatal + Maternal Child Health Quality Nurse in the Southern California Region with over a decade of frontline nursing care experience in both community and academic birth facilities in the DC metro area. As a Healthcare Quality Professional, she provides systems-level quality oversight and monitors Labor + Delivery, Postpartum, NICU, and Pediatric performance improvement efforts to continuously improve patient care outcomes and safety.
As a Nurse Patient Safety Specialist at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, she managed the enterprise-wide TJC National Patient Safety Goals Program for both the Inpatient units and Outpatient clinics in San Diego (Navy Med West Region), as well as served as the Maternal Child Health functional expert on the Patient Safety/Risk Management Team.
Kisha was also the founding Program Manager for the Alliance for Innovation on Maternal Health (AIM) Program at the American College of Obstetrician and Gynecologists (ACOG) in Washington, DC. As the AIM Program Manager, she managed an 8 State + 2 Health System cohort and facilitated the growth of a diverse and dynamic public-private stakeholder maternal safety and quality improvement network across the U.S. to address the rising maternal morbidity and mortality rate in the U.S.

Kisha is a United States Coast Guard Veteran and received her Master of Science in Nursing, Healthcare Policy from Chamberlain University and resides in San Diego, CA with her family.
